Haze in S’pore from fires at Sumatra

This morning I woke to see a dark sky and hazy view of surrounding flats. Reluctantly, I still drag my feet to work.

The haze in Singapore has worsen since last Saturday, due to hotspot activities in Sumatra, coupled with southwesterly winds. According to news reports, today the Pollutant Standards Index (PSI) reached 108, pass the 100 unhealthy mark. Even south of Malaysia felt the impact of the haze and closed schools.

I felt the effects of the haze the moment I stepped out of office in the evening. My nose was irritated, causing me to sneeze & sniffle. My eyes felt dry too. Hopefully the haze will clear up soon.
