YS & I had lunch at Breeks yesterday. For dessert we ordered Blondie Au Lait, which costs $6.20 each. It consists of bite-sized bownies, 1 scoop of chocolate ice-cream, 1 scoop of vanilla ice-cream, whipped cream & a cherry to top it off.
The brownies are delightfully ‘chocolate-rich’ & plentiful to eat with the ice-cream. Upon polishing off the ice-cream, we were pleasantly surprised to taste aromatic coffee! We realised that under the scoops of ice-cream is coffee in an inner compartment the size of a shot glass, with more brownies, maybe to slow-down melting of the ice-cream from coffee.
Due to our inability to resist temptation, we failed to take a photo of the dessert to share with my blog readers. The dessert is a great combination of chocolate, coffee & vanilla, in their respective chewy, melty or liquid form. I recommend this dessert as the must-have at Breeks!
